Meet My Gear..

Since learning about photography I have been working with canon DSLR’s’ with canon EOS 450D being my first camera. My current camera is the Canon EOS 6D, which I had upgraded from my previous Canon EOS 5D Mark II. I also own original canon EOS-M which I use along with 6D while travelling.

At the moment I’ve been having something of a closet clean out. Simplifying my gear and taking stock of what gets used the most and what gets the job done. Canon EOS 6D is incredible full frame camera with world class ISO capabilities. My EOS-M comes in handly very frequently while travelling.

Accessories

  • Canon 600 EX RT
  • Younguno RT Flash trigger
  • EF to EF-M adapter
  • Polarizers for all my lenses with step up rings
  • ND800 for 24-70
  • ND4 and ND8 for most of lenses
  • Manfrotto 190 3 section tripod with 498RC2 ballhead

Changes I am planning to make

  • Replace 24-70 II with 24-70 f4 IS L. This is my most used focal length while travelling and I generally shoot stopped down where difference between 24-70 II and 24-70 F4 is very small in terms of image quality but I will benefit a lot in terms of price and weight.
  • Eagerly waiting for sigma 85 ART lens and I would like to replace my both 85mm prime with Sigma ART. This is my most used focal length for prime.
  • Most likely I will also let go my my 135 f2. It is exceptional lens but I hardly use that focal length any more, I am finding myself reaching out to 70-200 F4 L most of the time.
